Room prize optimization

Challenge

An international hotel group which uses custom-built as well as turnkey solutions to manage bookings, promotions and pricing commissioned Kalinax to look into historical data across key locations and identify any potentially missed opportunities. The analysis looked at different room types and whether promotions were applied.

Our Solution

Kalinax examined series of internal and external indicators and KPIs and built models that calculate the optimal price of each booking. Then, the models compare this optimal price to actual and predicted bookings and indicates optimization opportunities. The business can make specific changes which target combinations of product and locations where the impact of a change would be greatest.
